Roof Frame Add
Adds a roof frame member.

1. Invoke Roof Frame using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the icon, which is pictured above.
2. The status line prompts, "Add: RoofFrame". Locate - Pan - Return mouse bindings become active. Select the appropriate Locate option.
2a. Left-click (Locate) to place the 1st point where the point location target ( ) is at. The 1st point sets the left end of the roof frame.
2b. The status line prompts "Locate second point". Left-click (Locate) a second point. The 2nd point sets the right end of the roof frame.
3. The Roof Frame Member window opens. When you are done changing or reviewing settings, press the "OK" button.
Alternative: Press the "Cancel" button to end the Add Roof Frame operation. This stops the roof frame member from being added to the model.
4. The roof frame is generated in the model. Locate - Repeat - Return mouse bindings become active. The status line prompts you to repeat step 2 and add another roof frame member.
Alternative: Right-click (Return) if you are done adding the roof frame(s).
- The two work points position primary support 1 and the Opening Side.
- To determine the desired elevation for a work point, you should take into consideration the supporting member's " Connection type ." For a ' Saddle clip ' connection to a beam's top flange, you will want the work point at the beam's top flange elevation. For a ' Strip vertical leg ' connection, you will want the elevation of the work point above the beam's top flange to prevent material clashes.
